Formed in 2005, AdVenture Development is a multifaceted commercial real estate company providing development, acquisition, property management, tenant representation, and consulting services. Our primary market is in the Mid-Atlantic region including PA, OH, WV, VA, SC and NC. AdVenture Development developed and manages McCandless Crossing, a 1.2 million sq. ft. mixed-use project in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. AdVenture Development’s latest project, Eastfield, a mixed-use project located on I-95 in the Raleigh, NC, metro area, is underway. This development will be enjoyed by many local visitors, vacationers and business travelers and add an overall value to the community.

Kevin Dougherty formed AdVenture Development, LLC in 2005. AdVenture Development focuses on commercial real estate development projects and is actively involved in the development, leasing, and management of these projects.  AdVenture Development has also retained real estate consulting assignments in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. AdVenture Development completed McCandless Crossing, a 1.2 million square foot mixed-use project in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, PA. AdVenture is also in the early stages of a 3 million square foot mixed-use project located on I-95 in Raleigh, NC called Eastfield.

Prior to forming AdVenture Development, Kevin was a founding partner of Michael Joseph Development Corp. (MJDC) in Pittsburgh, PA. For 14 years, Kevin led MJDC to significant growth while engaging in over $200,000,000 of transactions totaling 2,000,000 +/- sf.

Prior to MJDC, Kevin was Director of Retail Development for Charter Properties, Inc. of Charlotte, NC. Kevin spent almost 5 years at Charter developing in excess of 750,000 sf of retail space.

Kevin began his real estate career in 1982 as a mortgage banker with Carey Kramer Crouse & Associates (now HFF, LP) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, developing many outstanding relationships with lenders on a national and local scale.

Kevin serves or has served as a consultant to several national retailers, including Lowe’s Home Improvement, Wal-Mart, Raven Rock Workwear, and Golden Corral. Kevin is a graduate of John Carroll University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Kevin currently serves on the Deer Valley YMCA Camp Board, Johnston Community College Foundation Board, and formerly served as the Chairman of the Princeton Veterans Committee. Kevin is a member of the Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP) Executive Board, Johnston County Economic Development Board, The International Council of Shopping Centers, and ULI. He has served on numerous panels relevant to the real estate industry.
